Protein Analysis Laboratory

In the protein analysis laboratory, studies are carried out to determine the presence, size and concentration of proteins in various biological materials. For this purpose, electrophoretic / chromato graphic separation of protein sand Western-blot (immunblot) analyzes are performed. Then, the gel image is taken with the Bio-Rad ChemiDoc MP Imaging System, which has a high-resolution CCD camera and high-sensitivity detection technology.

In our laboratory;

  • Protein isolation,
  • Protein quantification,
  • SDS-PAGE
  • Transfer of proteins to the membrane (Electrotransfer),
  • Chemiluminescenceimmuno detection is performed.

In the protein analysis laboratory, studies are also carried out with the ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay) method. Inaddition, for UV-Visapplications, micro plate reader (Biotek, Epoch) that can read and takes pectra from 96-well plates at 200-999 nm wave lengths is used both in ELISA-based studies and in the quantitation of DNA/RNA/Protein samples.

Our laboratory offers researchers two different possibilities. Whileone of them is that our researchers benefit from our laboratory through "service procurement", the other is that the laboratory is "allocated to the researcher" and opened to there searcher for the directuse of the laboratory by the researcher's own expenses, accompanied by an expert with in our unit.
